More From Flying R

MARES

Work ethic, fortitude, and strength are the criteria all mares must meet to become a part of our outfit.  Our band of draft cross mares imparts upon their foals admirable confirmation, endurance, and a gentle mentality.  Staged in the mountains six months out of the year, our mares are afforded the opportunity to participate in a routine of structure and discipline, immersed in all elements of nature developing a unique mindset to be passed on to future generations.

BREEDING

Turned out amidst the banks of alpine waterways in tall grass meadows of western Wyoming, pasture breeding is the preferred method among our band of mares.  We offer our stallion the uninterrupted opportunity to cover each mare over a three month period.  Upon request, hand breeding for outside mares is available.

FOALS

Bred for great versatility inclusive of ranch work, roping and outfitting, our foals bear an uncommon fusion of raw athletic talent and robust grit. Fueled by the intellect of their sire and vitality of their dam, Flying R foals are cultivated to excel in any direction under strong leadership.
